December is so busy...

So much has been going on...just thought I'd try to bring you up to date with our family.

1st Monday of December is our annual Neighborhood Christmas Walk. Santa is always there and all the houses in our horseshoe decorate with lights. The street is lined on both sides with luminaries. For FHE we do the Christmas walk and then we come home to get warm. This year William pulled out his scriptures and told us the story of Jesus & Santa Clause. Ohhhh...does he have an imagination.

Brady's birthday is Dec. 12th. We went to Tucano's for dinner, leaving all the kids at home. Just the adults. After dinner we went to Brady's favorite place, BYU Creamery for ice cream.

Christmas decorating didn't happen until the 13th...but at least it got done. The girls and I decorated while Mason hung out with dad in the lounge chair watching. William was taking all the pictures.

Thanksgiving for CHRISTmas...

Thanksgiving came and left so fast.
We hope the feelings will always last.
The spirit of family, and friends, and love.
The blessings noticed from up above.
Our family enjoyed each moment with gratitude,
Giving and serving has changed our attitudes.
And so, as Thanksgiving memories fade away,
We'll turn our thoughts now to Christmas Day.
Not so much on the presents, we'll acquire,
But more on our Father in Heaven, we so love and admire.
We'll think of His gifts and all that He's done,
Especially the gift of His beloved Son.
We'll celebrate His Birth, not the material stuff.
But remembering just at Christmas is never enough.
We must do more, serve in every way.
Become more like Him each and every day.
Learn of His Life and all that He gave.
Remember it's for all, that we might be saved.
Radiate His love through our actions and deeds.
Serve and love others to fulfill our own needs.
If we keep Christ in our thoughts and always near,
We'll have "Thankgiving for CHRISTmas" throughout all the year.

We love you all and miss those of you far away. Please be safe and may you have a Merry Christmas.

Days after Thanksgiving...Road Trip

Road trip to Idaho to see Auntie Erin, Uncle Wade, McKenzie & Hailey. We also got to see Kayci, Jeff, Grace and baby Claire.

Yes, I took a picture of The Gas Station...kids will always laugh at the pictures I take so I can put them on the blog.

Keep your eyes on the road...I am surprised we didn't crash.

Erin had a tennis tournament--she took 2nd (not bad). Wade and I got up early to go cheer her on. When we got home, we found the house rather quiet still. So we started making breakfast.

Do you know how to make waffles? I made Aunt Mitzie's new found recipe for buttermilk syrup. To die for...will never buy syrup again.

Turns out we knew what we were doing after all. Great Breakfast!

"Aunt Cece Can we play the Wii?" How can you resist that precious little one?



Waiting to go to dinner...Texas Roadhouse here we come. Wait I thought we were in Idaho, not Texas?

Is that a peanut I see? I think we found a lot of peanuts that weekend, and they were in the strangest places...

We have our table and I know what I'm getting...the ribs, yummmm...

We were raised right. There is a kids table and an adult table.

We have no proof that we saw Jeff & Kayci or Baby Claire, but I have proof we saw Grace. (sorry guys I am bad about taking pictures of everyone. Can't wait to see you at Christmas-I will redeem myself.) Not even one picture of Claire what a loser Aunt I am...

Where'd the peanut go, in a boot? Or is it in the underwear drawer?

Wii time. When we weren't eating or sleeping we were playing the Wii. Way too much fun.

Batter up... William is amazing-he can pitch a strike while still in his pajama's and laying down.

No they are not gawking at a boy...it's just a little Wii...

Ok yes, I should be embarrassed this picture shows me in pjs with hair not done-but the fact that I am queen of the pool table more than makes up for it. Did I hear LOSER...

Yes even Brady got into a few games...did you know they have Golf on the Wii...and on Wades 120in screen, it was like being on the course for Brady.

Not everyone played the Wii...the little babies slept...yes Erin I'm calling you a baby.

Wait what is this...we did do something besides eat, sleep and play Wii. Oh that would be the kids. I don't think the adults did.

Hey there's McKenzie...we missed you this weekend, but are glad you had fun with your grandparents and cousin. We will do more with you next time.

Wade and Erin, Thanks for a great weekend. We had so much fun and made so many new memories. We love and miss you guys.

Thanksgiving Day

Oh...what a great Thanksgiving we had. We have so much to be thankful for. It started with service to our fellow man and ended with games and laughter. Here are just a few things we are thankful for...to say the least.

A Beautiful Table with great food. The good China and Silverware at Aunt Mitzie's. She doesn't skimp on anything. Look at those rolls, Yes they are homemade and tasted even better than they look.

I think there was enough pie for everyone to have their own.

Family & loved ones...even the ones that pose for the camera.



Is it stuffed turkey or Turkeys Stuffed...

I believe it is Turkeys Stuffed...Kayla and I were smart enough to be the ones taking the pictures after dinner was served.

It was a perfect day, even Mason was happy and content.

All will be grateful for the memories of family, dinner, & the games...but most will hate the pictures posted...Sorry Aunt Mitzie, I couldn't resist. Thank you guys for a very memorable Thanksgiving. Love you.
