On Dec. 17th, Brady and I took Jake, Alyssa, Kayla and Mandy to see Glenn Beck's the Christmas Sweater. What an amazing story. It was in a theather, so here is the trailer for it. If you ever have the chance to read the book or see this I highly recommend it.
After the show, Brady and I had to get the boys from a neighbor's house, here is what my kids do when we are not around. (Lucky for Kayla, she was a sleep on the couch)
In an attempt to let family and friends know how we are doing, I am learning all about blogging. So, let me give you an update on everyone in our family up until now...
Brady and Cece were married June 26th 1998, after almost 3 years of dating. Brady has two girls, Alyssa(20), and Mandy (13). Cece has one girl, Kayla (13). Brady and Cece have two boys together, William (4) and Mason (4 months).
Alyssa, graduated high school in 2006. In 2007 she met her soul mate, Jake. They were married August 9, 2007 after knowing each other for about 4 months. They have bought a house, and are both working. Alyssa will continue college in the winter. Brady and I could not have ordered a better son- in-law out of a catalog.
Kayla, almost 14, going on 30, is in the 8th grade. She is a great student. She has 2 boyfriends, her dad and her step dad. (It better stay that way). She loves to act and sing. She has been in numerous plays at school and in the community. She is in karate and loves it. Although we think she likes the boys more than the karate (and they like her, there is always more than one around just Kayla).
Mandy just turned 13. She is also in 8th grade, but goes to a different school than Kayla. She is a great student as well. She loves fashion. Clothes, jewelry and shoes are her life. She also loves to be outside spending time on her bike and with friends. She is taking piano lessons and is doing really well. She says there are no boyfriends, but she's too dang cute not to have boys flocking around her.
William, just started pre-school. He loves to learn. He looks like his dad with his mom's fro-y hair. He is quite the ham. He loves being a big brother and can't kiss and love Mason enough. He has lots of friends and would play 24-7, if he didn't have to eat or sleep. (Oh what it would be like to be Edward from Twilight).
Mason came to our family in June on our 10 year anniversary. He is such a sweet baby, with dad's good looks and mom's sweet (ha ha) temper. He is a very happy baby and brings smiles to our home everyday. But as a combined family with 5 kids and 1 son-in-law, our family is now complete.
Well I guess this answers the question I asked you on facebook. HAHA! Were you surprised?
